Small Shop, Big Service

Please bring your bikes in so we can assess them & schedule the repair based on what it needs!

During the warmer months, quick repairs, like a flat fix, are typically done same-day. At this point in the season, tune-ups and repairs that need more attention ought to be able to be within a week or two (it may be longer if we need to order parts). You can bring the bike in any time we’re open so we can assess the bike, get you a quote and let you know when we’ll be working on it.

Not sure what your bike needs? No worries. When you bring your bike in, we will assess it for free to see which services are appropriate!

$45

Touch-up & Safety Check

This is for bikes that are in good shape and only need minor adjustments, air in the tires, and oil on the chain. We’ll make sure the essentials are tight, lubed, and get you rolling.

$99

Full Maintenance Tune-up

We typically recommend this as an annual service for regular riders, and it’s also a great option for refurbishing a bike that has been getting rusty and dusty in storage. This tune-up includes light cleaning, brake, gear, and hub adjustment, wheel true, plus replacement of the common consumables (cables, tubes, tires, brake pads, cables, chain & cogs) as necessary. Parts not included.

*Starred services below are free with this tune-up, as needed. ** Double-starred indicates a discounted service.

Got an electric bike?

We do not have the capacity to service electrical components; but if it’s a mechanical problem, bring it by!

We charge a $25 fee for e-bikes and over-sized or heavy bikes (including recumbents, cargo bikes, adult tricycles, and all e-bikes). This helps compensate for the extra space they take up, and the joint pain after lifting them onto a stand to work on them!

As a hard rule, we don’t work on gas-powered bikes.

FAQs - Repairs

Does it really take a few days to get a tune-up?

We know you wanna ride! But there are very few things we can get done on the spot during our busy season. Everything that requires the detailed attention of a trained mechanic is going to take time and goes into the queue. If you don’t need or want a full tune-up and your repair is relatively simple (say, replacing a broken brake cable), the wait will likely be shorter, but in any case, we will do our best to fit you in the earliest we can. Bring the bike by so we can check it out and see what all it needs!

What is a tune-up?

In short, we check and adjust all of the major systems of the bike and replace parts if they are failing. If you want more details: we wipe down the bike, true the wheels, adjust the brakes, gears & hubs and replace the tires, tubes, brake pads, brake cables, chain & cogs if they are worn. We will assess the bike when it is in the shop and get you a quote for the parts & labor. The base charge is $99 plus parts.

What if I just need air?

We have a pump in front of the shop for community use! Come on by and help yourself. If it isn’t working, let us know and we can assist (if there’s a line, please wait). If you have a leak in your inner tube, we can usually fix a flat within 20 minutes.

What if I ride my bike every day?

When we schedule the bike repair, we’ll let you know what day we’ll be working on it. If you have a functional bike and are still able to use it, you can keep your bike and use it while you wait for your repair date. In that case, you’d likely only need to leave the bike with us for for a day or two instead of weeks.
